Job Responsibilities

As a support educator, you have an important task to implement pedagogical methods and approaches in the daily work of the organization.

Your responsibilities include building trusting relationships, supporting, guiding, and assisting users in various everyday situations.

All support measures are based on the individual needs and wishes of the users in accordance with the LSS legislation and Malmö city's LSS plan and values.

As a support educator, you collaborate with colleagues, other stakeholders, and users to design, implement, and follow up on action plans based on the users' needs and goals.

You work closely with the care educator in planning, follow-up, and implementation of decided working methods within the organization. The role also includes team leader responsibilities. You work systematically with social documentation.

You participate in finding solutions and methods that develop the work. You work to strengthen and develop the pedagogical approach that supports each individual's participation and self-determination.

The role also includes handling medication and other tasks delegated by licensed healthcare professionals.

Working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, and weekends.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with post-secondary education as a support educator of at least 200 YH points or 60 university credits, focused on disability and/or behavioral science.

You have good competence in basic care, as well as experience in low-arousal responses and working with challenging and outwardly aggressive behaviors. The position involves cycling, which means you need to be able to ride a bike.

You have experience leading teams in pedagogical work, leading team meetings, and working systematically with social documentation.

It is an advantage if you have experience working with users with autism and clear pedagogical methods.

You are pedagogical, quality-conscious, and well-acquainted with current LSS legislation. You express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish, and have good computer skills. Personal suitability is highly valued.
